Her first name - Fayola - comes from the Yoruba language and translates as "luck walks with honour".

We call her by her second name - Kianga - which is Swahili an means "sunshine".

In fact, we couldn't have chosen a more suitable name for her - Kianga is always happy - she is sunshine in motion :)

Kianga is very friendly towards people who are invited into our home and has got a lovely, open character. She often makes us laugh as she is almost constantly wagging not only her tail, but her whole bottom - hence it is very difficult to be seriously angry with her for a long time.
